Dundas is nicknamed ‘The Valley Town” because it’s nestled just under the escarpment.  It is a very unique community and very charming.  It’s a old community filled with older homes, big trees, parks and a revitalized downtown.  There is a real mix of people here – from the artists to the wealthy and the downtown has its share of BMW and Mercedes.

On the outskirts of town is beautiful hiking and cycling trails and on the top of the mountain is Webster’s Falls, a beautiful waterfall and park for hikes and picnics.  This town can remind you of the villages of Europe nestled in the mountains.

Anyone who sees the town for the first time is immediately charmed.  It is a hidden gem and off the beaten path.  There is no traffic problems or rush hour here.  There are bars and pubs and a few excellent restaurants including the award winning Quatrefoil.  The newest addition to downtown is the Shawn & Ed Brewery, which is a microbrewery located in the former hockey arena and which is open year round for tasting, drinking and events.  They are constantly brewing new seasonal ales and we would be happy to take you there (they also have wine because Ed owns Flat Rock Cellars as well).

Dundas has a mix of homes and enclaves of homes.  There are no big new home developments but you can find Victorian homes and older homes in various states of renovation.  As for prices, they tend to be lower than West Hamilton so this community offers tremendous value for the dollar.  I have bought and sold homes in Dundas for the past 15 years.

We would be happy to give you a tour of the town and take you to the Shawn & Ed Brewery for a beer.
